This project for Eugene Water and Electric Board (EWEB) included the complete removal, refurbishment and select replacement of the mechanical and electrical equipment. Due to the critical nature of the upgrade, the project schedule was accelerated to ensure the intake gate was operation prior to completion of the powerhouse upgrade being completed concurrently. Furthermore, this project took place in the middle of the Smith Reservoir and required unique construction methods to facilitate the work.
