Little Goose Dam – Fish Ladder
FISH LADDER COOLING TOWER DESIGN-BUILD
The Little Goose Permanent Fish Ladder Cooling Design-Build project is located on the upstream side of the Little Goose Dam at the fish ladder. The installation of a 90 foot tall steel structure which included a chimney and draft tube pipe. Inside the draft tube pipe sits the submersible pump. The pump draws cooler water from the bottom of the river and showers the cooler water on the surface. This lowers the surface temperature for the fish during the summer months. Northbank was involved in the design phase through construction and included the following activities: Design steel fabrication, hoisting and installing submerged loads, installation of undercut anchors under water, diving, piping installation, work platform and commissioning.
